  • 1 large baguette or Italian bread
  • 1 lb ribeye steak thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheet.
  • Slice bread lengthwise. Place on baking sheet.
  • Mix butter, garlic powder, and minced garlic.
  • Spread garlic butter evenly over both bread halves.
  • In skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.

Notes

  1. Use ribeye for the most tender texture and flavor.
  2. Don’t overcook the steak—it should stay juicy.
  3. Add mushrooms for extra depth and richness.
  4. Mix mozzarella with provolone for a cheesier bite.
